Topic: A "Snapshot "on Talent Attraction | Session One
Date: March 19, 2019
Time: Doors open at 7:45am | Program starts at 8:00am
Fee: $25 for Classic Members
Location: Ag Center - 444 Bristol Dr., Statesville
Details: This session will take a “snapshot” look at Iredell County. You will walk away with ideas for talent attraction and retention. Time will be spent on the importance of affordable housing, assessing strengths and building brand. This is session one of a four part series to tackle the issue of workforce development. Breakfast will be provided.

Location: Troutman Town Hall - 400 North Eastway Dr., Troutman
Details: This session will look at how building the power of interconnectedness will capture the strength of the region. A review of commuting patterns, the links the county has to different markets and how different markets link to Iredell County. This is session two of a four part series to tackle the issue of workforce development.

Location: Mitchell Community College - 701 W Front St, Statesville
Details: This session will discuss how to develop a skilled workforce in a time of scarcity. We will look at how companies and educational entities are adjusting their approaches to help workers break through the skills ceiling. This is session three of a four part series to tackle the issue of workforce development.

Topic: The Challenge of “FutureWork” | Session Four
Date: November 12, 2019
Time: Doors open at 11:45am | Program starts at 12:00pm

Details: This session will discuss how to prepare for the workforce of the future. A review data on demographic change and the “FutureWork” map. Discussion on how to increase capacity to respond to changing trends by potential adjustments of the educational and workforce training along with corporate training systems. This is session four of a four part series to tackle the issue of workforce development.
